ROTATION OBJECTIVES

Each rotation is designed to allow you exposure and give you experience in Emergency Departments that treat different patient populations and therefore different emergencies.

You will also rotate through certain specialties to learn more about their common emergencies.

The objectives for each rotation are outlined here.

MENTOR/MENTEE PROGRAM

The DEM has recently started a Mentor Programme headed by Dr Kamo Molokoane (CHBAH). Find time to contact your mentor and introduce yourself. All the consultants have walked this journey and have a wealth of knowledge/tips/tricks/advice to share.

You will be asked to complete this form and will be allocated a mentor.

ROTATION DUTIES

You will be expected to complete tasks outside of clinical practice. This occurs in the Emergency Department rotations. This includes collecting and presenting stats and morbidity and mortality information for the department.

The department you are rotating in will be able to give you further details.
